A Hannibal man is in the Marion County Jail on child endangerment charges.

Hannibal Police report their detectives were contacted Monday by the Marion County Children’s Division about an unresponsive 17-month old child.

The child was taken first to Hannibal Regional Hospital and, due to serious injuries, was flown to a hospital in the St. Louis area.

The HPD investigation led to the arrest of 22 year old Thomas Willemarck in the 1100 block of Union.

The Circuit Court of Marion County Tuesday issued warrants for three counts of first degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Willemarck is in the Marion County Jail on $100,000 cash only bond.

The child is listed in critical condition.
