A Hannibal man is in the Marion County Jail on child abuse charges.

Hannibal Police responded to Hannibal Regional at 1:06 p.m. Saturday on a report of possible child abuse.

Officers arrived to find a three year old child who had suffered a dislocated and fractured left elbow, along with multiple bruises on his legs, arms and scalp.

The child was taken into protective custody and transported to Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis for additional treatment.

Police took 23 year old Christopher Walker into custody in connection with the case.

On Sunday, a warrant was issued by the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County, charging Walker with three counts of abuse or neglect of a child.

Walker is in the Marion County Jail on $100,000 cash only bond.
