A Hannibal has been charged for allegedly using a hammer as a weapon inside a bank Friday.

Hannibal Police responded to a report of a disturbance at F&M Bank at 505 Broadway at 2:55 p.m. Friday.

It was reported that a male inside the bank was wielding a hammer like a weapon and demanding money.

Officers took 42 year old Gary Haynes into custody without incident outside the bank.

The 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County issued an arrest warrant Saturday for Haynes for unlawful use of a weapon.

No one in the bank was hurt in the incident.

Haynes is in the Marion County Jail on $50,000 cash only bond.
