Hannibal Firefighters Called to Sawyer’s Creek
Hannibal Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire shortly after 10:30 Thursday morning at Sawyer’s Creek on Missouri 79 south of Hannibal.
Hannibal Fire Chief Bill Madore says some smoke and flames were visible as fire trucks arrived. All three stations and some call-in personnel were brought in. Chief Madore says the fire was in an area next to the wine shop according to the on site incident commander. An investigation into the fire cause will begin as soon as the fire is extinguished.
The outside of the building showed little if any sign of fire damage.
