For the first time since last fall, it was a wetter than average February in Hannibal.

According to the National Weather Service’s official reporting station at the Hannibal Filter Plant, 3.09 inches of precipitation fell last month, which is almost an inch above average.

October was the last month that Hannibal exceeded its average monthly rainfall.

Almost half of Hannibal’s February total came on the 20th, when 1.49 inches of rain was recorded. That’s the most rain we’ve gotten in a single day since 1.77 inches of rain fell last August 22nd.

Temperatures for month ranged from a high of 68 degrees on the 27th to a low of one-above on the 7th.
