Hannibal Cavemen Begin an Important Week

The Prospect League All Star Break is behind us and what promises to be a key stretch of games for the 2012 Hannibal Cavemen begins tonight.  Hannibal hosts Terre Haute tonight and Saturday. The Rex are off to a 5-2 start in the second half.  Hannibal is in a four way tie for third at 3-4.  Dragging the Rex back to the pack would be helpful.

Danville visits Clemens Field Sunday night and Monday. The Dans should be watched closely in the second half.  They struggled in the first half while waiting for some key players to finish post season play with their college teams.

A two game series in Quincy follows on Tuesday and Wednesday. Then, it's back home next Thursday and Friday for a pair of games against first half western division champion Dubois County.

Will someone run off and hide in the second half or will we see a mad scramble among all six Western Division teams for the second half title? We should start getting an answer to that question over the next eight days.
