(MACON)—Missouri’s Highway Patrol Water Patrol Division reports issuing eleven citations and 51 warnings during Boating While Intoxicated Saturation patrols between June 30th and July 7th. The patrols were out between 4 p-m and 8 p-m on the Mississippi River, Mark Twain Lake,  Long Branch Lake and Thomas Hill Lake.

The goal was to detect impaired boat operators... hazardous boat operation and other factors in boat crashes. Nine of the citations were for marine moving violations, two were for equipment violations.

Troopers say the extra patrols also resulted in two drug arrests.
