April was a dryer and cooler than average month in Hannibal.

According the National Weather Service reporting station at the Filter Plant, Hannibal got just 1.4 inches of precipitation last month. That’s almost an inch-and-a-half under the average moisture for the month.

The wettest day in April turned out to be the 1st, when .55 of an inch of moisture was recorded, some of which came as snow on Easter Sunday.

Temperature-wise, there were four days in April when lows dropped to the teens. Record lows of 17 degrees were set on the 1st, 2nd and 7th.
