Hancock County Reports Ninth Confirmed COVID-19 Case

Hancock County now has its ninth confirmed case of COVID-19.

Officials with the Hancock County Health Department announced Sunday a laboratory-confirmed case of COVID-19.

The patient is a man in his 70s to 80s and is currently recovering at Memorial Hospital in Carthage.

Officials say the case does not appear to be related to previous positive cases in Hancock County.

Next comes contact tracing to investigate all possible exposures.

Of the eight previous cases of COVID-19 in Hancock County, four have recovered.
