Hancock County Officials Report First COVID-19 Death

Health department officials in Hancock County report their first COVID-19 related death.

Officials with the Hancock County Health Department and Memorial Hospital in Carthage report a county resident in their 60s or 70s died Sunday at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

This makes four COVID deaths in northeast Missouri and western Illinois, following deaths in Adams County in Illinois and Lewis and Pike counties in Missouri.

Hancock County has had 17 confirmed COVID-19 cases. The other 16 patients have recovered.
