Gov. Greitens in Palmyra Monday Touting Tax Relief Plan

Missouri Governor Eric Greitens was in Palmyra Monday, touting his tax relief plan.

Governor Greitens says 97% of Missouri taxpayers would see a tax cut under his tax relief plan. Greitens says that for 380-thousand workers… state income tax would drop to zero.

The top personal income tax rate would fall from 5.9 to 5.3 percent.  The tax cut plan also reduces corporate tax rates to be the second lowest in states that have a corporate income tax.

Corporate tax rates under Greitens’ plan would fall two percent to 4.25.

The plan also eliminates certain tax breaks and loopholes to make the plan more revenue neutral.

Governor Greitens is on a statewide tour to Macon… Palmyra… Jackson… Springfield… Joplin and Kansas City to promote his tax cut package.
