Gas Line Rupture Near Quincy Riverfront Wednesday

Emergency personnel responded to a report of a natural gas leak near the Quincy riverfront about midday Wednesday.

Fire crews discovered a track hoe doing excavation work near 2nd and Broadway had ruptured a gas line on the McNay Trucking property.

Ameren Illinois isolated and shut down the gas line and the line was capped.

Bonansinga Drive was blocked for a time while the line was being dealt with.
There were no injuries.
