Four district semifinal games are scheduled at Korf Gym this afternoon and evening.

Game 1 at 4:30 matches Borgia, the top girls seed, against fifth seeded Mexico. The Lady Bulldogs make the fast turnaround after last night’s 42-33 win over fourth seeded Warrenton.

Game 2 at 6:00 features the top seeded Hannibal Pirate boys and Kirksville. The Pirates and Tigers split their North Central Missouri Conference meetings. Hannibal rallied from an 11 point deficit on December 20th at Korf Gym to win 63-56. Kirksville prevailed at Kirksville earlier this month 65-61. The Tigers posted a 71-56 win over Moberly to reach tonight’s district semifinal. Hannibal’s most recent outing was last week at Mexico. Hannibal prevailed 68-67 despite uncharacteristically rocky free throw shooting. Dezi Jones led Hannibal with 35 in his regular season finale with the Pirates. Air time is approximately 5:55 on KHMO and khmoradio.com

Game 3 at 7:30 matches the Hannibal Lady Pirates with second seeded Moberly. The Lady Pirates opened the tournament schedule late Monday afternoon with a 47-39 win over Kirksville. Autumn Bigsby led Hannibal with 15. Hannibal and Moberly split their games in NCMC play. Hannibal won back in December 50-44. Mid game turnover problems earlier this month at Moberly put the Lady Pirates in a hole they could not escape as Moberly held on to win 42-39.

Game 4 at 9:00 features the second seeded Borgia Knights and Moberly. The Spartans advanced with a 67-61 win over Warrenton Monday night.

Tonight’s winners play on Friday. Girls at 6 p-m. Boys at 7:30
