(ALEXANDRIA)—A near head on collision on US 61 a mile and a half north of Alexandria at 6:05 Monday evening results in injuries to five people. The Missouri Highway Patrol says a car driven by 26 year old Kimberly Brackelsberg of Keokuk crossed the center line and struck a car driven by 18 year old Jordan Brunk of Kahoka. Brunk and a passenger, 20 year old Tessa Young of Kahoka, sustained minor to moderate injuries as did Brackelsburg and two children in her car.

All five people were taken to Keokuk Area Hospital for treatment.
