Fire Destroys Shed on South 12th in Quincy

Fire Thursday afternoon destroys an equipment shed at 2208 South 12th in Quincy.
Tri Township and Quincy firefighters were called around 3 p-m. The building was engulfed in flames with heavy black smoke in the area. Fire officials say extensive damage may make it impossible to determine the cause. A large amount of lawn equipment was stored in the building. Cherry Lane, South 12th and Melview Road were blocked off during the firefighting efforts. No injuries are reported.
