Fire Destroys House Near Canton

Firefighters from three northeast Missouri fire departments were called out Monday evening for a house fire.

Canton,  Monticello and Williamstown firefighters were called to a fire north of Canton after a passerby noticed the fire around 8 p-m. No injuries are reported. Cause of the fire is unknown. An investigation is underway.  Utility crews were also called to the scene to disconnect electricity from the house.
