Fire at BASF Monday Morning

Fire crews responded to a report of a fire at BASF near Palmyra just after 10 a.m. Monday.

Site Manager Mike McFarlane says a worker noticed a pipe smoldering.

BASF has an in-house fire fighting crew, and they quickly had the situation under control.

Palmyra fire crews were on the scene to serve as backup, but weren’t called upon to assist with the fire.
