Federal funds to help those affected by coronavirus is on its way.

At his daily briefing Monday, Missouri Governor Mike Parson announced the state would begin to distribute federal coronavirus money to local governments.

Missouri got about $2.4-billion dollars from the federal government through the CARES Act.

About $800-million of that total goes to each of Missouri’s 114 counties and the city of St. Louis.

In northeast Missouri, the individual county funding totals range from $695-thousand dollars for Shelby County to $3.3 million dollars coming to Marion County.
