A nationally known environmental activist visits Hannibal Monday night to put in her two cents on how the city disinfects its water.

Erin Brockovich leads a public forum hosted by Hannibal 2 Oppose Chloramines at 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall on Highway MM.

There has been public opposition since the Board of Public Works began using chloramines to disinfect the city’s water. That has resulted in Proposition One being placed on the April 4th ballot, which, if it passes, would direct the city to change it water disinfection method.
