Electrical Problem Blamed in Hannibal Fire

A Saturday fire in Hannibal is termed accidental.

Hannibal firefighters say a fire late Saturday afternoon at 1218 Union is  due to an electrical problem. Assistant Fire Chief Ken Steffen says smoke was coming from the basement as they arrived. The fire was under control in 15 to 20 minutes.

Steffen says three occupants escaped uninjured.
