Law enforcement authorities take a total of three people into custody after two separate drug investigations April 1.

On 04/01/14 the West Central Illinois Task Force, Quincy Police Department, and the Adams County Sheriffs Office conducted a drug investigation in the 3600 block of Locust.


The investigation resulted in the arrest of Arthur NMI Runnels, age 23 of 443 S. 5th Street in Quincy.  Runnels was arrested on the charge of Unlawful Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance and an outstanding Adams County warrant for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.


Officers intercepted a package that contained approximately 20 grams of methamphetamine in the investigation and observed Runnels flee in a vehicle.  The vehicle was later found abandoned near the 3100 block of Lindell.  Runnels was located in the 2200 block of Lind.

Runnels was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the Adams County Jail.  Runnels remains in jail on a $201,000.00 bond.*

 

On 04/01/14 the West Central Illinois Task Force and the Adams County Sheriffs Office conducted a drug investigation at 2410 Penthouse Drive in Quincy.  A search of the property resulted in the seizure of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Robert W. Harvey, age 39 and Amie L. Harvey, age 39 both of the  residence were arrested on the charge of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance - Fentanyl.
Robert and Amie were lodged in the Adams County jail and are in wait of bond.*
