Drivers Take Note–School is Starting

School is starting in many areas and law enforcement officials have reminders for motorists.
Be watchful for slow or stopped school buses. If a bus is stopped with lights activated and the stop sign extended you must stop before you reach the bus. In Illinois… driving while talking on a hand held device is prohibited and a first time offense is considered a moving violation.

Motorists should also be alert to the possibility of children darting out from between parked cars and increased traffic near schools.
