More Missouri Family Dollars Confirmed to Be Closing Forever
These aren't the first Missouri Family Dollar stores to close and they almost certainly won't be the last. However, there are now confirmed reports that more Dollar Tree is indeed confirming more Missouri Family Dollar locations.
According to CBS News, Dollar Tree has now added at least 600 more Family Dollar locations to their closings list. Among the new closings in Missouri that were not revealed previously are stores in two small communities.
The first one is Family Dollar located at 200 E Tilden Street in Humansville, Missouri.
The other Missouri Family Dollar confirmed to be closing any day now is located at 503 E Main Street in Willow Springs, Missouri.
A few weeks ago, Dollar Tree announced that it would be closing 1,000 stores including many in Missouri and Illinois as a part of their restructuring of the company. It's unknown how many Family Dollar stores in Missouri that will be closed in total or how quickly those closings will come. Most are expected to be in the first half of 2024 with the possibility of more being added later in the year.
It was also announced that some Dollar Tree stores would likely be closing also, but no locations have been confirmed at this time.
To add to the company's misery, a Family Dollar distribution center in west Memphis recently had to close for a period of time due to a reported rat infestation.
As this is a developing story, it will be updated when/if new Missouri locations are added to the 2024 closings list.
