Dallas City Man Dies in Car-Motorcycle Crash in Palmyra

A Dallas City, Illinois man dies from injuries suffered in car-motorcycle crash in Highway 168 in Palmyra at 3:05 p.m. Friday.

The Highway Patrol reports 29 year old Jacob Lewis of LaBelle was westbound and crossed the center line to make a left turn. An eastbound motorcycle, driven by 54 year old Scott Herriman of Dallas City, tried to avoid striking the Lewis car and was ejected from his bike.

Herriman was then struck by the Lewis car.

Herriman was pronounced dead at University Hospital in Columbia.
