COVID-19 Case in Hannibal High Football Program
There has been a positive case of COVID-19 reported in the Hannibal High School football program.
In a Facebook post Wednesday, the district announced the student who tested positive is in self-isolation, as recommended by the Marion County Health Department.
Officials say contact tracing is taking place, and anyone who came in close contact with the student will be notified.
Earlier, the district had announced the cancellation of Wednesday’s Hannibal Pirate football practice, due to potential exposure.
The Pirates are scheduled to play at Jefferson City Friday night.
