Contact With Power Lines Results in Fire along US 61 in Hannibal

A trash truck making contact with a power line around 6 p-m Monday results in a small fire.
Hannibal firefighters were called to US 61 near Walgreens around 6 p-m. The resulting sparks ignited some combustible items. Hannibal Board of Public Works crews were
called to the scene. The driver had to stay in the truck until the power lines were disconnected. No injuries are reported.
