Collision Kills Monroe City Man

A collision involving a pickup and a dump truck on Ralls County Route J six miles south of Monroe City claims the life of a Monroe City man.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says a pickup driven by 73 year old Marshall Libby of Monroe City was crossing Route J and pulled into the path of a dump truck driven by 75 year old Willie Ragon of Perry at 3:35 Thursday afternoon. Troopers say Libby was pronounced dead at the scene. Ragon sought his own treatment for minor injuries.
