It took a jury in Pike County, Illinois only about two hours to return a guilty verdict in the case of a man accused of stabbing his brother to death last year.

29-year-old Joseph Coffman was found guilty in Pike County Circuit Court in Pittsfield Wednesday afternoon.

Coffman had been charged in the stabbing death of his brother, 46-year-old Dennis Coffman, following an altercation between the two along Interstate 72 in Illinois July 19, 2014.

Joseph Coffman now faces between 20 and 60 years in prison.

The murder case of a man accused of stabbing his brother to death went to the jury Wednesday morning.

Deliberations began in Pike County Circuit Court in Pittsfield in the case of 29-year-old Joseph Coffman. He’s alleged to have stabbed his brother, 46-year-old Dennis Coffman, to death on July 19 2014 as the two drove on Interstate 72 in Illinois after a night of drinking in Hannibal.

If convicted, Joseph Coffman faces from 20 to 60 years in prison.
