Canton Woman Arrested for Vehicle Theft

A Canton woman is in the Lewis County Jail on theft charges.

Lewis County Sheriff David Parrish reports deputies responded to a report of a stolen vehicle Wednesday near Ewing.

A traffic stop was made on Highway 6 near Durham and 32 year old Jamie Wallace of Canton was taken into custody.

Wallace was charged Thursday with one count of stealing a motor vehicle.

Wallace is in the Lewis County Jail on $10,000 bond.
