(Hannibal)—The first of two public meetings regarding water and sewer improvements comes to Hannibal City Hall at 7 p.m. tonight.

BPW Officials will meet with customers to discuss two ballot issues that will come before Hannibal voters August 6th.  Proposition W seeks approval of a $13 million bond issue for water system improvements.  Proposition S involves issuing $9 million in bonds for sewer improvements.

The second meeting takes place Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Board of Public Works Conference Center on Industrial Loop Drive.

Officials say the bond issues are the most efficient way to fund improvements mandated by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and the EPA.
