Bowling Green Man Hurt When Minivan Hits Buggy

A Bowling Green man is being treated for serious injuries after his buggy was hit by a minivan Thursday. 

The Missouri Highway Patrol says the crash occurred on Pike County Route V at 3:45 Thursday afternoon. Troopers say 22 year old Daniel Payne of Wellsville was operating his minivan in a careless and imprudent manner when he hit the rear of a buggy driven by 25 year old Melvin Lee of Bowling Green. Troopers say Lee was air evac’d to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for treatment of serious injuries.
