Bond has been increased for a Quincy man who was a passenger in a traffic crash last month that resulted in the death of a Quincy teen.

In Adams County Circuit Court Wednesday, bond was increased to $600,000 for 20 year old Gage Patterson.

There had been an order of protection filed against Patterson in July by 16 year old Kaylee Mehochko.

Patterson was a passenger in a car driven by Mehochko that wound up at the bottom of a pond at a Sherman, Illinois golf course October 27th.
Patterson got out of the car safely, but Mehochko died.

Patterson also faces charges of armed criminal violence, home invasion and aggravated domestic battery. He is alleged to have beaten Mehochko in separate incidents in May and July.

Patterson was in residential drug treatment in Springfield at the time of the fatal crash

Patterson has a status hearing scheduled for November 27th. He is lodged in the Adams County Jail.
