Body of Missing Winchester, IL Man Found Tuesday

A Winchester, Illinois man who had been the subject of an extensive search over the last week-and-a-half has been found dead.

The body of 20 year old Lance Ackerman was found by a drone in a bean field west of Winchester about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Ackerman was first reported missing after his pick up truck was found crashed in Winchester early on the morning of June 24th.

At the time of the missing persons’ report, it was reported that Ackerman was possibly suicidal and in possession of a firearm.

The only details known about the discovery of Ackerman’s body is that there were no signs of foul play.
