Truck Drivers Say 2 Missouri Truck Stops Among Best in America

It makes no sense for someone who's never driven a truck to tell you what truck stops are best. That's why I pay attention when over-the-road drivers declare stops among the best in America which is what has happened for two Missouri places.

Quick backstory: I come from a family that has had many truck drivers over the past few generations. My father-in-law was a driver for decades and I've also had many great friends who have carried loads across America. My point? I have a soft spot in my heart for truck drivers and the challenging life they live, so I don't share this flippantly.

I saw Prime Inc, a major carrier, share what they called the 10 best truck stops in America. They pointed to a survey done by CDL Life which asked the drivers (the real experts) what they considered to be the best truck stops in America based on reviews they left in the Trucker Path app. Two of the top choices were located in Missouri.

Big Apple Travel Center in Joplin, Missouri was named the 2nd best truck stop in America by an independent company.

When asked about chain truck stops, the drivers said that Sapp Brothers Travel Center in Harrisonville, Missouri was the 3rd best.

Locations in Missouri were given high marks for lots of truck bays for parking, warm water in showers and good food options.

If you're a truck stop, there's no higher praise than what comes from drivers. It appears these two Missouri places are doing many things right.
