Authorities say remains found inside a shed in Rochester last month are those of 43-year-old Tracy Trimby of Decatur.

Sangamon County Coroner Cinda Edwards tells The State Journal-Register that the woman's remains were identified by a forensic dentist.

The remains were found when someone was cleaning out the shed on July 19.

Police say Trimby's name was not on any lists of missing people. Authorities believe her death was a homicide because items in the shed were stacked on her.

Edwards says the body was there for a long time, but she's said she's not sure how long, nor is she sure how she died. The newspaper says information about Trimby's background was not available.

Rochester is just east of Springfield.
