The last of four defendants to face charges in connection with a 2016 botched robbery attempt was sentenced in Marion County Circuit Court Wednesday.

According to Prosecuting Attorney David Clayton, 17 year old Austin Anderson was handed a ten year suspended sentence and will go to the state Division of Youth Services’ Dual Jurisdiction Program.

Clayton said if Anderson fails the program, he could service the sentence in an adult prison.

Anderson pleaded guilty in July to attempted robbery for his role in an incident that led to the shooting of 29 year old Ronald Gillum, Jr.
