Austin Anderson Pleads Guilty to Attempted Robbery
The last of four defendants to face charges in connection with a botched robbery and shooting pleads guilty in Marion County 10th Circuit Court Monday.
16 year old Austin Anderson pleaded guilty to felony first degree attempted robbery before Judge Rachel Bringer Shepherd.
Anderson and three others are alleged to have tried to rob 29 year old Ronald Gillum, Jr. last November 20th at his home in the 1700 block of Park Avenue. Gillum suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound in the incident.
Of the other defendants, 18 year old Thomas Willemarck III was sentenced to a Department of Corrections treatment program. 22 year old John Newman got 15 years in prison and 25 year old Stephanie Pettit, received probation after agreeing to cooperate with authorities.
Anderson is back in court for a sentencing hearing August 21st. He remains in the Marion County Jail on $100,000 cash only bond.
