Arrest Made in Fatal Pleasant Hill Stabbing

Authorities in Pike County, Illinois are investigating a fatal stabbing in Pleasant Hill Tuesday night.

According to Pike County Sheriff David Greenwood, deputies, Pleasant Hill Police and first responders were called to the scene of a stabbing just before 11 p.m. Tuesday.

A 65-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 44-year-old man was apprehended later in Pike County, Missouri and is being held in connection with the incident.

For now, the man is charged with aggravated battery. The investigation continues and more charges are expected.
