Anthony Villeme Found Guilty of Elder Abuse
A Palmyra man has been found guilty of elder abuse.
In a press release, Marion County Prosecuting Attorney David Clayton announces that 43 year old Anthony Villeme was convicted of first degree elder abuse in a jury trial moved to Monroe County on a change of venue.
Villeme was alleged to have struck 74 year old James Church several times in the face on June 5th, 2016, causing serious physical injury.
The jury recommended a ten year prison sentence for Villeme. Final sentencing will be September 15th in Monroe County.
Villeme remains in the Marion County Jail.
