Adams Electric Cooperative has renamed one of its wind turbines to honor a long-time employee of the utility.

In a ceremony Friday in Mt. Sterling, co-op officials announced the renaming of the Brown County Wind Turbine in honor of former Lead Technician Randy Rigg.

The turbine in Mt. Sterling is one of two built by Adams Co-op. Rigg played a major role in the construction and maintenance of both turbines.

Rigg worked for Adams Electric Coop for 27 years. He died last April.
