Fire investigators say the cause of one of two house fires at 212 Beech is undetermined following an investigation by the Missouri Fire Marshal’s office.

Firefighters were first called to 212 Beech at 6:45 Sunday evening. Investigators were on the scene until 2:33 a.m.

About an hour later, firefighters were called back to that address early Monday morning where they found the house engulfed in flames. Investigation work on the second fire was still underway late Monday afternoon.

Homeowner Albert Gillum and his family were not at home at the time of the fires. Gillum says the hundred year old house was insured. The house and its contents are a total loss.
