The Hannibal Parks and Recreation Department sponsors the 10th annual Ice Bowl disc golf tournament Saturday, January 30 at Huckleberry Park.

Last year, nearly 30 disc golfers came from points throughout Missouri, Illinois and Iowa in wintry conditions. In past years, Parks and Rec have considered cancelling the tournament because of adverse weather, but the participants wouldn't hear of it.

According to tournament organizer Don Crane, "Conditions were very challenging with high wind and very cold temperatures last year." But the disc golfers play in any weather. "It makes it more challenging, but they love it," Crane said.

Registration is 9 a.m. with tee time at 10. Each golfer plays two rounds.

Entry fee is $10, with proceeds to go to the Buddy Pack Program. Food will be provided and prizes will be awarded.
