Missouri Man Hurt When His Ultralight Plane Lost Power & Crashed
It was a harrowing moment in southeastern Missouri Friday morning when an ultralight plane lost power and crashed injuring the man who was piloting it.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 70-year-old Thomas B. Crowe was piloting his 1983 Quicksilver MX ultralight plane over Willow Springs, Missouri at approximately 9:40am Friday morning when it reportedly lost power and he was unable to recover as it crashed. The crash appears to have happened just to the south of the Willow Springs, Missouri Airport.
The Missouri Highway Patrol Troop G says that Thomas B. Crowe suffered moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Ozark Health Care in West Plains, Missouri.
As this is a developing story, it will be updated once the FAA completes an investigation and new information is released by the Missouri Highway Patrol.
