Fire crews from Philadelphia, Palmyra and Shelbyville were called to a controlled burn near Philadelphia just after noon Saturday.

Winds caused the burn to get out of control, resulting in the torching of 60 to 100 acres of land.

LaGrange firefighters were called to a residential fire in LaGrange Saturday afternoon.

Crews were able to get the fire under control quickly, but not before the home and almost everything in it was destroyed.

A cause of the fire has yet to be determined. Foul play is not suspected.
