Officials with the Hannibal Parks and Recreation Department and Douglass Community Services, the coordinating agencies for Toys for Tots of Northeast Missouri say they need volunteers this week to help get ready for the annual toy distribution.

Specifically, volunteers are needed to pack gifts into boxes Monday and Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. and then to get the boxes to the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center Wednesday.

Toys and about 800 food boxes will be delivered in a drive-through format at the Rec Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday.

If you would like to volunteer, call Stacey Nicholas at Douglass at 221-3892.
