Venue Change Wanted in Pike County Shooting

A man accused of shooting and injuring his wife is seeking a new judge and a transfer of the case out of Pike County, Missouri. 

47-year-old Steven Lynn Rusher is charged with felony armed criminal action, domestic assault and unlawful possession of a firearm. He’s accused of shooting 42-year-old Colleen Rusher in the forehead with a shotgun on August 20 at the couple’s rural Pike County home.

According to a probable cause statement, Rusher allegedly told authorities the couple got into an argument and he accidentally shot her. A new court date and location have not been set.
