A vocational school with some 20 locations in six Midwestern states has filed for receivership.

In a press release Thursday, Vatterott Educational Centers, Incorporated announces it has filed for receivership in Missouri’s 21st Judicial Circuit Court.

Vatterott officials say they took the action to support its operations and to facilitate the sale of the school.

The school has been in discussions with several potential buyers, and has kept the appropriate regulatory and accrediting agencies updated.

They emphasize that they expect school operations to continue without interruption and that all campuses, including the one in Quincy, will continue to run on normal schedules.
