If you don’t normally go out to eat on Tuesday nights, you might want to make an exception this week.
With the help of a number of area eateries, the United Way of the Mark Twain Area benefits from its first Restaurant Day fundraiser Tuesday.

The restaurants taking part in the promotion include Fiddlestiks, Ole Planters, Rustic Oak, LaBinnah Bistro and Papa John’s in Hannibal, The Rebel Pig in Palmyra, Smokin’ J’s Steak House in Bethel, The Hoof Family Steakhouse in Madison and Paris Pool and Pub and Jacs Restaurant in Paris.

Anyone who frequents any of those establishments Tuesday will have a portion of their meal donated to the United Way’s annual fundraising campaign.
