At a press conference at Lankford Field in Monroe City, United Way officials announced what they call an aggressive goal of $425,000 for the 2020-21 annual campaign.
Campaign chair Forrest Gossett says the United Way is committed to meeting the increased needs of people across northeast Missouri.
With the emphasis on everyday heroes during the COVID-19 pandemic, the United Way announced BE A HERO as its campaign theme.
