United Way Announces BE A HERO Campaign Theme, Sets Goal

The United Way of the Mark Twain Area unveiled its campaign theme and fundraising goal for its annual campaign Wednesday.

At a press conference at Lankford Field in Monroe City, United Way officials announced what they call an aggressive goal of $425,000 for the 2020-21 annual campaign.

Campaign chair Forrest Gossett says the United Way is committed to meeting the increased needs of people across northeast Missouri.

With the emphasis on everyday heroes during the COVID-19 pandemic, the United Way announced BE A HERO as its campaign theme.

The United Way of the Mark Twain Area will officially kick off its annual campaign this fall.
