Missouri’s Ugliest Building is Something Out of a Comic Book
This weekend I am going on a boat tour to see all of the magnificent buildings in Chicago and I can't wait. Missouri has some of the most beautiful buildings in the nation, but one stands out for the complete opposite.
Ugliest Building in Missouri
If you've ever been in Springfield, Missouri you might have seen a giant black building that might remind you of something from a comic book. At one time it was considered one of the most innovative buildings in the Midwest, but today it makes the list of ugliest buildings in the nation.
Hammons Tower
Hammons Town was built in the later 1980s and was a big presence in the building of Springfield. According to Love Exploring, the building now casts a shadow over the city. The city even has given the building a nickname "Darth Vader Tower," which might be a bit harsh.
I think the building is sort of unique and how cool is it to have a "supervillain" town in your town? I guess it's easy for me to say that I don't have to look at it every day. back when the building was constructed I'm sure it was probably one of those up-and-coming builds that will help beautify the city.
Seems it's taken the complete opposite.
